UPDATE! Attorney For NFL Cheerleader DENIES Sex Allegation

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The lawyer for one of two former Carolina Panthers cheerleaders arrested over the weekend in Tampa says his client wasn't having sex in a restroom stall.

Renee Thomas and Angela Keathley were arrested early Sunday after a fight that began when they emerged from the same stall at a popular Tampa nightclub. Police say witnesses told them the women were having sex and others waiting to use the bathroom became angry because the pair was in the stall so long.

Peter Anderson, the attorney for Thomas, tells The Charlotte Observer that the incident, quote, "has generated numerous rumors and inaccurate facts."

Another woman told the newspaper that she was in the bathroom and believes the cheerleaders weren't having sex.

Both women were dismissed from the TopCats. In addition to losing her job as a cheerleader, Keathley is on administrative leave from her nursing job at Carolinas Medical Center.
