I'm finally all caught up with the first season DVDs and my taped copies of the Season 2 episodes.

Abc has been pitching it as a main character. If it was one of the people from the back of the plane I would be pissed. It has to be one of the fringe characters. I think the only safe ones are Sawyer, Kate, Jack or Locke, but who knows.

load up all the best stuff so they go against each other forcing the viewer to choose. I switched from a VCR to a DVD recorder and couldn't be happier, as I was wearing out tapes (too cheap to just buy lots of tapes, I guess) and the recordable DVDs are almost indestructable...

Last week was the first time I saw Trading Spouses...omfg that woman was a walking trainwreck. I felt so dirty for watching it but I couldn't stop. Thanks for reminding me about that.

I think she is too new to fit what ABC has been pitching. It has to be a fringe main character, meaning anyone but Sawyer, Kate, Jack or Locke. I don't like the Cortez character, but she can't die until her character develops a little more.

Anyway, I wasn't sorry it was Shannon either.

As long as it ain't Sawyer, Hurley, Locke, Kate, or anyone else I dig.

I think it will be Shannon. Since her brother's demise she has been much less interesting. I can't imagine them killing Sawyer, Kate, Jack or Locke. All four are the heart and soul of the show and they can not be replaced.

I was going toward Sun or Hurley at first. I thought it would be interesting if Jin came back to Sun being dead. But I think her character is just getting going. It can't be Michael, at least until the Walt thing is resolved and I don't see Jin buying it when only Michael and Sawyer are around to see it. This leaves me with someone from the other side of the island/back of the plane or Hurley or Shannon. If they kill off one of the people from the back of the plane it would be totally lame, and ABC has been pressing that it is a "main" character.

I think that really only leaves Hurley and Shannon. Hurley's role on the show is the guy people open up and the one who lets a lot of stories to be told. I just don't think it will be him. I think Shannon has less to add. To keep her around, they need to add something else to her character, other than speaking French or sleeping with someone. My money is on Shannon, but I'm keeping my eye on Hurley. I would bet my last dollar that it is one of these two and not one of the "big four." I'd like to see Jack buy it, but that because I just hate good looking doctor types. No way they kill off one of those big four (Sawyer, Kate, Jack or Locke)Anyway, lots of fun to speculate and I can't wait to see. Watch I'm wrong and Sawyer or Locke gets killed by one of the Others. Won't I feel like a dumbass.

Ot her boyfriend. He's been doing lots of tv interviews, so he may be looking for other work.

It won't be Sawyer or Jin 'cauuse those two have gotten too much magazine cover play over the past six months and women al over the world would rend their clothes and cover themselves in ashes were tat to happen. Not Kate, Maggie or Jack... too integral to the continuing story line. Not Hurley, 'cause that would be just WRONG. Same goes for Charlie (Hurley and Charlie have become my two fav's fro some oddball reason). John Locke? Killed off? Don't be ridiculous! Jack ad John are the yn and yang of the show. That leaves us with... Michael? Hate to think that, but that's my opinion.

BTW: the ladies here may be... intersted to know that my fellow cube rats at the office think that I can do a dead-on imitation of Sawyer... Caveat- you'd have to close your eyes as my chest doesn't have quite have Sawyer's... muscle tone (yet, anyway..lol)

I know it was a desert island and all the guys are horny, but Sayid and Shannon? No way. He's this rugged, intelligent, earthy guy who's been through hell in his life. I find it really hard to believe he'd be attracted to a whiny spoiled brat who complains about every little thing. I would think he'd find her personality completely repulsive, even if he found her physically attractive (with that constant scowl I can't see how though). So maybe he'd f*ck her but I absolutely did not buy him pledging his devotion to her.

I'm not sorry to see her go at all.

Now if Sayid could somehow get a haircut... YOWZA!

Since she did not add anything to the show and I can't see her being important unless "the others" all speak really bad french, it was her time.

I only recently got into this show. I never watched it last year. During the summer my wife and I caught a few episodes and got into it. We bought the first season on DVD and have since been addicted. This show is GREAT!

S.O. and I have been speculatin' about who would die.

Shannon was my #1 choice. She was not "beloved", she wasn't a sex symbol like Sawyer or Sayid (although she was attractive), and her back story wasn't all that interesting (like Locke or Hurley, and the other part of her backstory was already dead). I was 100% behind it being Shannon.
