Maybe it's me but today is a good day to be a liberal!!

I just bought the 'Music That Inspired Fahrenheit 9/11' album, and, boy am I pumped!!!

Hell, this is a good month to be a liberal!

This is a great day to be a liberal, esp. in California!

We handed Ahnold a defeat he will NEVER forget.....or get over!

And the gropenator will be back trying to revive his faltering Action-Star persona in Hollywood!

Ahnuld is one of the most unpopular governors in our state's history. We pulled this crap to get him in office and the only justifiable thing to do would be to pull the same crap again to get Ahnuld out!

All these special elections in California cost around $40-50million dollars of taxpayer moneys. You have a democratic congress in California that'll keep Arnold reigned in until 2006 when he'll be ousted.

Then maybe next time some rich republican asshole in California wants to start a petition to have a special election to oust the governor, the folks will think twice before signing!

what happened? I was at a conference all day and didn't get to read the NYT this am. SOunds like it was very very good!

What happened? Why, we defeated ALL of the propositions on the ballot yesterday!

ALL OF THEM! People are fed up with having to decide these matters...

They think that it's high time the legislature did the work...

,As always. Most geniuses, innovators and revolutionaries were considered liberal in their time. There's a lot to be proud of. Most of our founding fathers were liberal too (Addams might be the exception). Despite what our detractors might say liberalism is as American as apple pie.:patriot:

You know what I say: a liberal will look at a person in need and do something. A conservative will look at a person in need and complain about their taxes.

- I'd tax the rich up to 50% of income

- Think a woman should have a right to choose

- Am for universal health care, free for all

- My goal is for welfare and unemployment compensation to continue for a lot longer than they do, as long as you are looking

- In extreme cases (homelessness, disability,) the government should provide you work

- The minimum wage should clearly be above the poverty line

- As far as marriage goes, no separate but equal - either civil unions for both gays and straights, or marriage for both gays and straights

- Believe in no war unless attacked or attack preparation is spotted

- Believe in separation of church and state

- Believe the Patriot Act hurts way too many law abiding Americans

- Think guns should have licensing and registration (for guns used in violent crimes)

- I'm anti-death penalty - used to be for it in my early 20s, but not now.

- Believe in a form of affirmative action: tax credits to businesses for striving for diversity

- I'm very pro-union

- Very pro-environment - support Kyoto and make companies pay for cleanup.

Well, by now you get the idea

People may be sleeping. I too am liberal and proud today and everyday. Today is kinda mixed for me, but many of the election returns are indeed something to shout about. And then there's next year when Eliot Spitzer will be elected governor of my great state of New york. OK, I am going out to the parking lot to shout. :-)
