Dominos Pizza is the WORST pizza ever!
Not only was the pizza late it was cold and smashed up against the side of the box. You needed a microscope to find the toppings and when I called to tell the store all the manager could say was "our toppings are measured" well that might be nice if all the slices HAD AT LEAST ONE TOPPING! He offered to send out another but it would be almost an hour later--fuck that! I told him with two hungry kids and Little Caesars next door I'll pass and he can shove his pizza up his ass.

Anybody else had this experience with Dominos?
:argh:

1. I'm not fond of any
of the big pizza chains products. I live out in the boons and can't get pizza delivery anyway so I've found that for four bucks, I can get a Red Baron Frozen pizza a dress it up exactly as I choose and it does the trick. It has everything I want on it, it's hot, and it's ready when I am. We also really like the DiGiorno spinach, mushroom and garlic pizza.

5. Domino's is the WORST of the chains. Absolutely.
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 08:28 PM by tjdee
I'm kind of confused they haven't gone out of business.

edited to add...at least, though, here the pizzas get here hot and unsmashed. They just taste the worst and their "toppings" are more figurative than literal.

6. The last time I went to Domino's
I ordered a small onion pizza and they literally put a third of an onion ring on it. The piece was smaller than my pinky finger. I asked for my money back but they refused until I started to warn every customer in line about them.

7. The old saying about Domino's is
Edited on Fri Nov-11-05 08:40 PM by Gormy Cuss
the box tastes better than the pizza. If they can't deliver it hot and intact there's really no reason to call them again. Some locations do an adequate job delivering a fresh pie, but other don't.

I agree with the others re: stocking a few frozen pizzas. They'll cost less and be ready in about the same time it takes to call, order, and wait for delivery from Domino's. Plus if/when your kids are old enough they can add their own toppings as a pre-dinner activity. Most kids jump at the chance to do that.

Now if you had a GOOD local pizza delivery place that would be different.

23. Yeah, I've not bought from Dominos for more than a decade, since
hearing about the ties to Operation Rescue. Not that I cared for the quality even then, mind you.

10. I would never eat chain store pizza.
It's sacrilegious, particularly when you live in South Philly with all the great homemade pizza joints around.

14. Has to be more than fifteen years since I have called Dominos
bad pizza, money that went to an extreme right-winger (who has sold the company, so that is no longer the case) left me unimpressed. Hard to comment on it in current times, as I have lived in places with so many more options that I haven't had Dominos in more than a decade.

21. Actually
I would eat Dominos over Poppa Johns. To me, theirs tastes like a big verison of those little round cheap single pizzas in plastic wrap in the freezer case with the garlic dippin sauce as a gimmick.

16. Check out Papa Murphy's if it's around in your area -
"take and bake" pizza they prepare at the store for you to pick up and cook at home. Fresh ingredients, generous toppings, plenty of cheese, many choices available. The location in my little town is always doing great business, and I'm sure they've taken away business from the "big boys" (Pizza Hut, Domino's, Happy Joe's {big regional chain}).

It was called Papa Aldos when I was little, but they changed the name at some point.

in their shop that mentioned they started in business in 1981...I've only been aware of them for maybe 5-6 years.

17. I think it depends on the specific location.
I used to hate Domino's because the one by me sucked, but then I went to college and found out that the Domino's in that town was actually really good. The one by my parents' house is still not very good, but I got Domino's pizza in Juneau once over the summer and it was great.

19. I thought Dominos was in bed with mal-wart..
they treat the employees just as bad if not worse because the drivers have to supply their own car, their own gas, and their own insurance, and make minimum rage..

20. I've always gotten sick after eating Dominos....
I love Papa Johns but they won't deliver to my neighborhood so I'm boycotting them. Donatos has the worst customer service. I stood there and watched my pizza sitting in the box under the heat lamps for about 15 mins before someone realized it was there. My pizza was cold.
