How many songs do you have in your iTunes/Media Player/Whatever?
I am up to 682...probably will go to around 4K.

6. About 1200 in my Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra
and then about 12000 on my hard drive at home. I could listen continuously for weeks and never hear the same song twice. I just like to keep my options open I guess.

8. Right now on my hard drive I have 171 files...
because I just backed up my hard drive (where I burnt off 17 GB of music)and I just recently changed my downloading habits.

I now only download music that is either distributed by the artist, is a live show, or is a mix.

And I haven't ripped any of my 700 CDs/100 pieces of vinyl to the HD...

I added about 100-200 songs last night. I couldn't sleep, so at 1am I started uploading a bunch of old CDs to iTunes.

I still have a couple more CD's to load up. When I first started loading, I skipped songs I never listened to that much or not at all (I'd grab the faves, then switch out CD's just for songs I was really familiar with). So I'm going back a sampling them again, discovering good music I always had.

It's like having your own radio station without narcissistic DJ's and adverts.

but most of those are ripped at 192kbps, so they're larger in size.

I've got about ±40gb of music on my hard drive, but I never have the desire to carry it all around with me at once. Hence the 2gig Nano.

Then I accidentally wiped out the hard drive (long, infuriating story, haha) and lost them all. Now I'm at about 5,000.
