Is that the new "word" or whatever slang people use? What is "snap!" and what does it mean?

Help me out here. :hide:

well, as old as it goes these days...came about around 3 years ago give-take; kinda means the same thing as "you got served!" in other words, they-told-you! sort of thing. Sorry, I am not being very clear.

5. I know a coupla Brits who use it
It's the same as our "Jinx! You owe me a Coke!" when two people say the same thing at the same time.

Some friends and I have our own word for it: SWORDFISH!

6. "Snap" in that sense comes from the children's card game
when you both turn over cards, and if the are the same rank you slam your hand down, shouting 'snap!' and the first person wins the cards. Do you not have that game in the USA? It's about the simplest card game there is.
