Why is it that any time you lose something...
you always find it in the last place you looked? Funny how that works. Are we being tested or something?

Which would be more proper... "I found it in the 1st place I looked". Or... "I found it it in the last place I looked".

Actually if it's in the first place you look, it isn't really lost because you clearly knew exactly where it was.
