Crikey! It's really cold outside!
It's 20 degrees F here in Morris (MN) right now, and the wind chill is 2 degrees F! Brrr! What's worse is that we have a dusting of snow on the ground and the wind is blowing at 45 mph! I was going to do laundry tonight, but the walk to the laundry place from my apartment is about 100 yds, and with the wind blowing snow everywhere and icy sidewalks, no way! I'm not going outside!

I'm going to make me nice hot cup of hot chocolate instead. :)

4. And? It's not even winter yet.
Edited on Wed Nov-16-05 02:01 AM by Canadian Socialist
When it goes to -40 with a wind chill of -90, then talk to me about cold. Other than that, well enjoy the nice weather. signed... person who lived in Winnipeg for 20 fucking years.
edited to add: at least, it's a dry cold. That's supposed to be funny.

5. The temps here last week were in the 60s...
so temps in the teens is pretty fuckin' cold, considering what it was last week.

I know what it's like to get temps in the negative temps. After all, I do live in Minnesota. :) :P :hi:

9. So, you know from cold
real cold is -40 with the wind chill taking it down to -90. And add in the snow blowing into your face. Fuck. Seriously boy I hate the prairies. Which includes Minnesota. BTW, every been to Bemidji? We used to have wicked parties there. When I lived in Winnipeg, we always had those young men from Fargo coming up. You know, the hard bodies. Good times. Army boys are good stuff. It was funny, because they were too young to drink, even though they were in the miltary (in the U.S.) but when they came up here, we treated them right. We considered them men. And it was all legal.

10. Prairies suck.
Weather-wise, I should say.

I have been to Bemidji, but not since I was a wee little lad. I have friends who go to college there, though.

6. Brrrrrrr....it's really cold here in South Mississippi, too.
It's actually going to get down to 32 tonight! Woohoo...and it rained, so the burn ban is lifted. THAT means cold nights and campfires. :D

13. I don't hate people, as a rule
but... I think I can dig up enough emotion to hate you. Yes, you, Baclava. At some point in my life, I will track you down and make you experience winter. Maybe not now, nor soon. But someday.

21. The flag outside my office window in St. Paul
has been sticking straight out all morning. It was 20° on the TCF thermometer walking in to work at 8:00.

As Tom Waits would say, it's colder than a welldigger's ass. But it's supposed to be partly sunny and 40° on Friday.

24. Smells like snow here, too.
And usually we get just one day of snow (always happens on December 24), but it seems to be a cold winter this year.

BTW, Welcome to DU, Err. ;)
