OK -- I'm an open minded person. But I've yet to find an explanation
about this. Somebody help me out here.

Oops! Jackson uses ladies room in Dubai
Pop singer reportedly applied makeup before realizing his mistake

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - Michael Jackson has stirred a small controversy in the United Arab Emirates by entering the ladies room in a shopping mall.

The pop star's publicist said Jackson, who arrived in Dubai this week as the guest of a champion rally driver, did not understand the Arabic sign on the door and left the bathroom as soon as he realized his mistake.

In the statement released late Tuesday, Jackson's publicist, Raymond K. Bain said: "Upon his exit (from the ladies bathroom), he was recognized and a crowd ensued. He had to wait in a nearby bookstore until police arrived to escort him through the crowd."

6. I've done that, too.
At a club in Buffalo, a flyer was hung on the womens' room door so as to obscure the W and O. Luckily it was empty and I was spared embarrasment. But I did notice something - the graffitti was WAY nastier, more graphic and more personal than any I'd ever seen in a mens' room. Which was maybe just a Buffalo thing...

i could understand walking into the wrong room by mistake ... sometimes you have to look twice at the symbols - just to make sure ...

But really... who gives a rats ass? I've used the MENS bathroom plenty of times when I really had to go! I've also been to many a gay bar where the bathrooms were co-ed!

Really... why does the press give a shit that he used the ladies bathroom?

13. agreed.
Why should the ladies get to use the only clean bathroom in the place?

Also, what is up with those bathrooms where instead of the traditional stick-figures or signs that say "gents" and "ladies", there is some kind of weird, ambiguous symbol, or even worse, some kind of truly sexist thing like a sign saying "bucks" for the men's room, with a picture of an antlered deer-head, and "does" for the ladies, with a picture of a deer's ass? Fuck that shit.

9. Jackson is so far out and over our heads I doubt that the many astute
psychiatrists could adequately explain his behavior patterns to us in terms that we could grasp. So just go to your scratching post and take a snort of catnip and forget about anything Jackson does in his personal life.

10. Bless me catwoman, for I have sinned -
I was in college, on the way to class and had to relieve myself in the sitting position, if you get my meaning. I hurried into the bathroom, dropped my bookbag and did my business.

I noticed that the stall was pink. That was funny, but I didn't really put any thought into it. Then I noticed a little stainless steel box on wall above the toilet paper dispenser that read "napkin disposal".

Napkins? Who'd bring napkins to the toilet?

By now the room started to fill with young ladies making a bathroom run between classes and I realized where, in my haste, I'd accidentally stopped.

I waited in the stall until I was relatively sure everyone was gone, then snuck out, embarassed.

So, it can happen.

12. LOL
OK -- You guys have convinced me that it was more likely an accident :D

I have used the men's room -- and it wasn't "accidental".

Women's restrooms have the longest lines :D

14. women's rooms have long lines, but usually (though not always)
are much, much, much cleaner. Even when they're gross, they're usually cleaner...

So, I don't blame MJ if he'd prefer a ladies' room... though I can't imagine the places he frequents in Bahrain would have nasty men's rooms. So, probably just an accident. Or wishful thinking.
