Cat question.....
I had a former co-worker who swore giving his cat the water broccoli was cooked in makes a cat catnip-like crazy. Anyone else know if this is true? Is it harmful?

1. Considering some of the things we feed cats...
I'm sure broccoli water wouldn't hurt it. As for the results of feeding said cat boc'o'water I can't say.

I have read that mouse is 'the' perfectly balanced food for cats. I wish I had the source to back it up.

3. Why isn't there isn't a mouse-flavored
cat food. Seems like some money could be made off of that

4. Why don't we have canned mouse...
People already buy live mice for snakes to eat.
I guess cat people and snake people think differently.

Seriously, I'm sure it is based on a marketing decision.

5. There is, or was.
Many years ago I found "Mouse Flavored" cat food in a London grocery.
Used to bring it back for our cats.
They liked it.

6. I remember an old cartoon
by Tex Avery ("King Size Canary" IIRC) where a starving cat breaks in to a house, ransacks the cupboards and finds a can labeled "Cat Food." He opens the can, turns it over and a mouse falls out.

7. Regarding mouse cat food
I just set out two humane traps to catch the mouse that my cat brought into the house... and, of course, lost. Seems this mouse likes perfectly ripe Bartlett pears and garden fresh tomatoes.
