Small aircraft and florida
ok, kind of a bizarre request, but i had no idea where else to ask it. GD didn't seem quite right.

Basically, a friend of mine is looking for information on illegal aircraft landings in the US (specifically florida). like, how many, in what areas, how many are interdicted, etc.

We've hunted EVERYWHERE for data, and can't find any. Can anyone help? Thanks

1. Are you looking for information about flying only, or landing too?

2. Check Venice airport
They seemed to have a lot of drugs coming in and out a few years ago.

3. either
the paper this research is for is about security risks for florida. and we figured that any method an aircraft could get over a populated area would be a risk for nuclear weapons, but landing could get explosives, money, etc into the country

4. Haven't heard of any interdictions in quite awhile
I'd hazzard to guess they have gotten really good at getting in under the radar, or it just doesn't happen anymore

6. I dont know, you'd hear stories
back in the pot days, there were tales. Then in the coke days some more. Havent heard any in some time.
The easiest way to smuggle anything into Florida anymore is by boat. The ports are notoriously lax/corrupt
