This year, I'm thankful Hugo Chavez is still alive.

I'm serious. I feared the moral midgets in the CIA would have "neutralized" this guy by now; with any luck, Chavez will continue to be the Road Runner to Bush's Coyote.

What are you thankful for?

6. I'm thankful
For my family (parents, siblings and their children) and for many great friends that I have.

Being single with no children, I feel blessed every day that I have so many people in my life that still dig me. Even after being such a pain in the ass for so many years, they seem to not go away.

12. My strong group of friends
Without them, I would not be able to deal with the difficult times in my life this year from family.
I am grateful for being able to be able to go to college, even if that means being in massive debt.
I am grateful for that I am happy with myself.
I am grateful for those that believe in me, because sometimes, even I don't believe in myself.
I am grateful for my other half.

14. This wacky-ass place
Yeah, sounds corny as hell, I know, but if it were not for this place I KNOW I would not be as sane or healthy as I am today.

This place helped me through the insanity of the 2004 primaries, the election, my nervous breakdown, the end of my marriage, and the beginning of my new life. I've met people here (and later in real life) that I consider some of my best friends in the world.

:toast:

Edited on Fri Nov-18-05 12:25 AM by rbnyc
I'm thankful that I'm alive and I get to be with my son. I'm thankful that I am getting healthier and not sicker. I'm glad I can walk. I'm glad I have 2 arms. I'm thankful I can see and hear. I am so grateful that I can care for my son, and play with him, and be with him.

I'm thankful that the meteor hasn't fallen on my house. I'm thankful that the airplane hasn't crashed. I'm so glad the car didn't explode. I'm grateful that the building hasn't collapsed.

I'm grateful that my landlords are people, and they live downstairs.

I'm thankful that my husband is waiting for me to say goodnight to my friends in the Lounge.

I'm thankful that all 3 of us are going on our honeymoon.

Goodnight.

I'm thankful for my friends and family.

I'm thankful for DU.

Some folks are living in tents still and temps are below freezing tonight. :-(

I'm also thankful for the many DUers (and some who are no longer here) that have been so supportive and have helped me in so many ways. I can never express to you all how much you have helped me and how grateful I am. I am not just thankful, I know that I am blessed.

Thank you guys, you know who you are. :grouphug: :loveya:
