Does anyone else have a bearded dragon (reptile, silly!)?
I bought a new aquarium for my bearded dragon yesterday. It's huge, and I got it for a good deal, I think. It's a 55 gallon with double hood lights, and I got it for $120 at PetSmart in Slidell, which was badly damaged by Katrina. So is that a good deal for a 55 gallon with the hoods and lights?

I also got a rock waterfall, which has running water and a fog machine on a timer, which makes low fog in the aquarium to simulate morning dew in the desert. I put some big pieces of driftwood and large river stones from the Smokey Mountains in the aquarium, but I didn't have any vines or the such to put in there. I also want a bull skull to put in it. Both will be my next purchase.

Geo is so happy in his new home. He bobs his head at us to let us know that he's trying to be social with us. He's about to move up to eating pinky mice...right now he's only eating crickets and collard green salads.

He's the coolest pet.

Here's a photo of him when he was just a little baby.

Tell me about your odd pets, and their setups.

3. I bought the only huge aquarium they had.
I'm planning on going back soon, so I might just check to see if they have a 30 gallon that I can set up for fish.

They did have some really pretty set-ups--I could have bought a 30 gallon with a curved front and stand to match, for around $180. I'd really love to put salt water fish in them (do you have to buy a specialty tank for salt water?). I need to introduce some peaceful and calming influences in my life, so thanks for the suggestion.
