Email time capsule. Talk to yourself in 20 years.
http://forbes.codefix.net/capsule/

Most time capsules involve cramming stuff into a metal box and burying it in a hole in the ground. It's a method that works --but it's so primitive. What if you could write an email to yourself, and be assured of receiving it twenty years in the future?

That's what we've done with this email time capsule. Simply fill out the fields below, decide how long you want the capsule to be sealed for, and hit send. We'll do our best to make sure the message gets delivered.

Hey, it's free, so why the hell not? :D

2. I did it.
As long as yahoo remains free I will likely have this same email in five years. I would have picked 20, but I'm not so sure I'll still have this email account.

3. Yeah, I did it, too
I have a hotmail account, which I'll probably hang on to. But like you, not sure about 20 years, so I did 5...

4. I hope I'll completely forget about this so it'll be a surprise.

I buried a time capsule when I was a kid, but I can't remeber exactly where. I guess that is one I will never see. :D

5. LOL, oops!
Yeah, me too. 5 years is a long time, likely I will forget by then... we'll see. That sucks about the one you buried when you were little :( Fun for archeologists sometime down the road, maybe?

6. Yeah. There wasn't much in there.
There was a picture of me, a letter, and a couple little trinkets. Might shed a little light onto the life of a child in the late 20th century. Who knows, my picture might be in some museum in 300 years. :D
