Poll question: The Anarchist's Cookbook:
I've noticed from time to time media types portraying everyone who blew things up as a kid as destined for disaster.
I should point out I blew many, many things up in my youth, and am currently completely balanced. :silly:
What's your relationship with the infamous Cookbook?

1. I never read it, but I understand they took notes
for the cookbook from several of my celebrated 'bathroom chemistry experiments.'

I kid you not when I assert that one of my childhood adventures got the attention of some very stern looking dudes from the local Air Force base.

2. I've seen it and other variants of it

But it has been some time since I last saw it. I would have thought Tom Ridge and all the Chicken Littles would have sent anyone associated with it to Gitmo by now.

Ever try Pine-Sol and brake fluid?

3. I read it in high school.
Most of the geeks I hung out with did things out of it often. :D

4. I never read it but I did have a fondness for fire and explosions as a kid
And I'm pretty normal now, I think.

5. Last time I checked Amazon, the author had an apologetic review
Saying it was youthful foolishness, etc.....he regreted writing it and disavows the violent aspects of it

6. I blew shit up the old fashioned way
With illegal fireworks stolen from my Dad's stash (which was hidden in a top secret location under his bed.) :D

7. At the bookstore I worked at
"The Anarchist's Cookbook" had to be kept in receiving at all times, because kids would try to steal it. Plus, the company felt it wasn't appropriate to have a bomb-making manual on the shelves. Same went for "The Turner Diaries," the book that supposedly inspired Timothy McVeigh.

9. Kindergarten-level light reading in comparison
to two other books/manuals I could name here, neither of which I'd ever use any tactics from.
