It's snowing, it's snowing!
Yeah, I know, another weather post...but I'm so excited! There's nothing more beautiful than the Sewanee campus all covered in snow...even if I know it will all be melted by morning.

(sigh...)

1. No, it's not, silly
It's about 70 degrees and mostly sunny.

I kind of miss snow sometimes. It IS pretty and I love the silence of a snowfall. It seems to kind of insulate the world from sound. ~sigh~

And I was really hoping for snow today...for me, the first snowfall of the year is kind of like being baptized.

This has been a very frustrating semester for me; I've never had a more clear idea, at least abstractly, of who I am and what my purpose is...but things keep cropping up to stop me from actualizing this, and I've been really stressed out and miserable for a while. But something about the snow washes all that away from me, at least for a little while.

EDIT because I can't spell "beaitful"

2. That's quite a different reaction than the one I have for snow...
which is "Shit." I think about driving in it, I think about having to call out of work and dealing with that mess because even if the schools are closed my job isn't...I think about shoveling my driveway, being too cold, and having an aching back.

Could be I'm a bit pessimistic.

It's nice to see someone who actually likes snow.

5. Well, my college never closes...
It's in a valley and I'm on top of a mountain...I'll probably miss school tomorrow, because it's a lab day, but I just don't care...I was hoping for snow all day today, and now I have it!

Let's hope that any snow that would go to your area normally, instead comes to mine.

22. I'll enjoy the snow if it doesn't stick around too long.
It's normal to have a white Thanksgiving in my part of the Hudson Valley.

10. You're at The University of the South?
Beautiful place.
We were there a couple of weeks ago.
Walked through the cathedral and heard the organist practicing.
Amazing.

You're lucky to be there.

11. Well, I don't actually ATTEND here, I work here.
I go to a junior college down in the valley...though I'm hoping they'll have some type of "impoverished local" scholarship so I can get in...I'd love to take third world studies here.

And it is a gorgeous campus.

Ooooooooohhhhh.........
the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go...
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!

Well...
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me ti-ight
All the way home, I'll be warm!!!

Oh the fire is slowly dying
And my dear, we're still goodbying
But as long as you love me so...
Let it snow! LET it snow! LET IT SNO-OW-OW-OW-OW!!!!

 :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

24. I love snow...although not the shoveling part. But the woods and the
fields and the river all look so beautiful after a snowfall, it's just magical.
I just hope we get some at Christmas/New Year's and then it can pretty much go away!
