Squash question:
The veggie kind, not the sports kind.

What's the name of a white squash that looks like an acorn squash?
Miz t. says it's not an acorn, but doesn't know what it's called.
"Just white squash", she says.

Any help?

1. Are you thinking of pattypan?

They look a little bit like a small acorn squash, but I don't know if that's what Cajuns and other southerners mean by white squash.

Some pattypan are white, some are pale green.

That's a white acorn squash.

A pattypan can be wide but it's flatter and has sort of a fluted bottom.

2. It's probably an acorn squash.
There is a white variety, and it has the sane shape as an acorn squash. There's also White Bush squash, which looks like a white pattypan.

3. I don't like it as well as yellow squash, but I've grown it.
