16. This is by far the toughest one yet
IMHO. I went ahead and went with Boathouse because of the colors and reflection in the water, but Gateway to Meadow was a very close second because of the color, the sunlight and how it seems so peaceful.

29. I would have voted for Barney's Last Autumn, except ...
He had his *cough* back to the camera. Otherwise an incredible pic of a nontypical environment. The tack in the photo lends a lot of visual detail, including its vertical arrangement as a contrast to the fence outside.

Very very nice. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

But I chose Utah Colors because the colors seem to be flowing downhill toward the viewer. Again, not your typical autumn photo.

The photography contests are my favorite threads on DU. Everyone is so talented! I don't have an eye for art, so I pick by pure emotion. Tricolor is my favorite, but they are all wonderful. :)

is the photographic equivalent of a perfect 17th century haiku. It smacks you somewhere between your sternum and your cerebral cortex.

The two distant individuals, young and old, in the right center lend it a transcendence it wouldn't otherwise have.

This is beautiful photography. I'd hang an 11 x 14 of it on my wall in a minute.

P.S. Super-duper honorable mention for "Barney's Last Autumn."

Both photos are right 'nigh perfectly composed and cropped.

Almost impossible to decide what to vote for, but in the end I voted for the Gateway to Sun Meadow. I guess I got a thing for trees, lol.
