25. Wow, that brought back a lot of great memories.
My first summer internship was in the mountains of NC... and the next two were in the foothills. I can't tell you how many times I drove the Blueridge Parkway, for my own sanity's sake.

Did you ever make it to Blowing Rock? And someone mentioned Mabry Mill... I had a group of seniors who took me there for lunch as a goodbye treat.

Sigh.... Good times.

30. I didn't get back down there last summer.
I had planed to ride my Trike on the next trip but now the 3 wheel adventure will have to wait till next summer.

Oh, and Mulder - back in the Tarkenton years, I rooted for the Vikings every single time in the playoffs.... and I still despise Dallas. "Hail, Mary" my ass.

15. Take heart from Steve Young's words several weeks ago.
He could see the same thing happening to the 49er's in his last year there. Key players were let go and not replaced. The team that took him to the top was being disasembled before his eyes. It's the same thing in Titletown this year.

I must confess I'm not the diehard Packer or Viking fan like many here. Some would call me a fence-sitter or even front-runner. I just like to see the Midwestern teams in the NFL do well. But I do root for these two teams more than any other. I like to see good football being played. And right now there's an effort to put together a very young team. That doesn't bode well for Brett. Yeah Vonnie Holliday was a good example. Another is Darren Sharper.

Remember that December game in the fog many years ago?
Back when I was in college, it was all about the Packers-Bears rivalry.... and games in Milwaukee were brutal.
