I need a new job
I work in a two-man satellite office with a guy who is an insecure, paranoid, egomaniac with an inferiority complex if you can image that.

He is a wanna-be Corporate Climber and I am his only rung.

There. I feel better now.

1. I'd the same thing with my past job...

And he fudged around a few laws too...

Best of luck in finding a new job. I've been looking for a while and can't get an interview; despite meeting and often exceeding their qualifications, I get a letter saying I lack the qualifications they are looking for... :wtf:

(of course, who wants somebody talented? We're expensive. The doorknob dipshits who will work for $10/hr are the type they truly want... and then they get fired for incompetence and the game begins again. If that's society, fuck it. Society doesn't deserve to exist if this is how it works. )

BTW: The job ad never asked for salary requirements and I never give them unless asked in an interview or if they ask them, and when I do state them I go by the publicized median levels, even though I know I'm worth more.

I felt like I was lucky when I got a job paying $10 an hour with paid vacations and holidays. My previous job was $8.5 an hour and before that I made $7.15 (and before that $5.50 in 1996). I have an MA and it is depressing how little I am apparently qualified to do.

I will work for $10 or less, because for some reason, I need to eat and cannot find a sugar momma. Although one place advertised that it had competitive wages and I said I wanted $10 because it was a long commute. The place right next to it had starting wages, for the same work, at $11.30. This place did not call me, because they only paid $8.5 and I was asking for too much money.

2. Time for a new hobby.
Fuck with him until he quits. Be subtle and play on his paranoia.
