Why don't the people at the DMV pick up the damn phone?
I don't even DRIVE and I hate these people. I just have a quick question. It would go something like this:

Hello, DMV here.
Yeah, Hi. Where do I send this form for my new ID? My local DMV, or the State office?
Send it____(insert userful answer here)_______.
Thanks, bye.

Of course, that will forever remain just a far off dream of a fantasy never to come true. Instead, I get a list of automated options that have nothing to do with anything I need, AND no option of talking to a real person (though they did direct me to their website. Because, you know, that's useful to me in this case. I never thought of looking there, DMV.) The other phone number that claims to be for people without touchtone phones just rings and rings, presumably all alone in a cobweb infested cubicle with only a dusty "I Hate Mondays" Garfield figurine keeping it company.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. :banghead:

(If you happen to work for the DMV, sorry, but you really need to have at least one if not more people there to pick up the frickin' phone.)

2. You always look at the bright side, don't you?
:D

I hate going there too. That's why I was excited that I only had to mail in my renewal form, not go there. BUT, either I lost it or they never sent the envelope to send it back in. I just want to know where to mail the thing.

6. Oh, you'd think so Shell, but you'd be wrong.
The DMV site is full of useful information, just not the information I need.

I'm sending it to the State office. Let them sort it out. Hey, maybe I can let them try calling me if I sent it to the wrong place or something. Bwahahah, sweet revenge.

I'm glad you're optimistic. It is tough to be these days, but your posts usually put a smile on my face so I'm glad you are.

7. I just called them.
Lost the renewal form for my vehicle registration - just as I was about to implode from automated instructions, they told me how to reach a person! She had me all set in a couple of minutes. I was dreading having to go into the office...now I'm doing the happy dance!

8. Because they don't *have* to .....
Edited on Tue Nov-22-05 03:13 PM by lpbk2713

Now that they have the menu system.....

"Press 'one' to kiss my ass."

"Press 'two' to bother someone else with your silly little problem."

"Press 'three" if you want to wait about an hour or so until my break is over."

"Press 'four' if you honestly think this call will get you anywhere."
