One of these days, I'm gonna buy me a Nudie suit.

And then you'll all be jealous of me.

4. Elvis' famous 'Gold Suit' was made by Nudie.
In any case, I want one. I'm working on the design right now.

6. I met Nudie, years ago
Funny dude. Lots of stories. Had a naked picture of a young Joan Blondell on the shop's wall, too (she was quite bodacious, too...there were zillions of pictures on the walls, but I remember hers well). Some of my family persons have Nudie suits from the '70s and commissioned others for some of the era's pop icons. Pretty cool stuff, even the horribly tacky ones.

Here's Elvis' suit (with Elvis in it and Nudie beside him), in case there's a person on the planet who hasn't seen it yet:

He didn't like it. He really hated the pants and usually only wore the jacket on stage (in 1957 and for his 1961 Hawaii benefit show, the last he did before returning to the stage in '69). He even balked at wearing a gold jacket for a small segment on his 1968 TV Special, 'cos he hated the original one so much.

Nudie died not so long ago.
