My husband cooked Spam in the kitchen for lunch today.
In honor of this event, I am burning two large cinnamon-scented candles.

1. Well, first off, I think that Spam comes pre-cooked
And secondly, Eeeeew.

I just hate Spam, I've never understood the appeal. But then again, I love braunschweiger which most folks can't stand, so I suppose to each their own:shrug:

Still, I don't blame you for burning the candles, I would too.

5. go get you a loaf of rosemary sourdough at Panera's or your
local bakery, cut down a thickish slice and toast it, then spread thickly with braunschweiger and top with sliced hard boiled eggs liberally salted and washed down with a lovely German beer.

oh'hhhhh'hhhh, (wipes slobber off chin, continues to drool)

7. Droooooooooooooooooool!
Thanks, now my whole shirt is soaked with drool.;)

I had the great good fortune to grow up in a small farming town composed of German immigrants, Hermann Missouri. It has now turned into a tourist trap, but I still have fond memories of growing up with a German butcher, baker, vintner, grocer, etc. Hell, I was speaking as much German as English when I was a kid. Good memories, good times.

2. Cooking spam in the kitchen is probably the most logical place...
... if you ask my opinion.

Cooking it in the bathroom? That would be weird.

I used to meals-on-wheels years ago to some housebound old folks and one of them loved to fry baloney on a hot plate.

I would rather eat someone else's used boogers than eat fried baloney, but whenever she made some I would spend some time and choke down a sammich.

But the smell of fried baloney and/or fried spam in my house would require me to set my SO on fire in honor of the event, so as not to have a repeat of it.

6. yeah!
It surprised the hell out of me that in Hawaii, Spam is a legitimate menu option and not a joke.

Some food show took the camera through a long Spam aisle at a market in Hawaii with all these sizes and varieties. I've never puked watching tv but it was close.
