Take THAT, offspring!
My kids were fighting over whose bowl of popcorn was larger. They were whining and complaining and bugging the crap out of me. Now, they are at the dining room table (crying) and counting every kernel in their respective bowls, so that they can report back to me and I can divide the difference in popcorn kernels evenly. They won't be bothering me for a while.:evilgrin: :rofl:

10. Not this time, but my oldest often does.
I detest whining. It seems the more novel the punishment, the more likely it is to be effective with my young'uns. I also think there's more of a deterrent effect when the kids think, "I better not, because you never KNOW what Mom might make me do!" :rofl: I avoid the "cruel" but not the "unusual."

Person A slices the cake, and person B gets to choose first which slice to take.
Maybe still will not avoid buyer's remorse, but my dad, and perhaps myself, would solve the problem by saying something like "one more complaint and I am going to take all the popcorn for myself"
