I keep this commercial: That thing got a hemi?

When it comes to cars, I know squat.....(except for driving)

1. It's an engine with hemispherical combustion chambers.
The theory is that that the increased volume in the combustion chambers allows a greater amount of fuel/air mixture to be burnt, thus making more power.

5. The reason it is such a big deal was because when the hemi was introduced
Edited on Thu Nov-20-03 08:34 PM by nothingshocksmeanymo
it kicked ass on every other engine that came before...both in/out of racing. (adding this to GOP's definition)

The Dodge Hemi's of 71 were some of the greatest muscle cars of all time.

12. Muscle cars rule!

I had a 1965 GTO and a 1970 Barracuda(440 magnum) in my younger days.

I am driving a 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII these days. They call it a "Luxury Muscle Coupe" turns out 290 hp/290 ft./lb. stock from a 4.6l dohc 32 valve v8(Mustang Cobra engine) Best thing is it gets 26-28 mpg on the highway!

mine is just like the one in this pic except dark green

19. hehehe...
at least I didn't say a Phase III lol...you KNOW I'd be lyin' then!

A buddy of mine almost bought a Phase III Camaro...but the guy wouldn't budge off the rather high asking price. They were only a couple grand apart, but the guy wouldn't budge, and my buddy was tapped out as it was.
