How many spent Thanksgiving home alone?
Edited on Fri Nov-25-05 01:28 AM by devilgrrl
I stayed home to be with my sick cat. Just as well, Thanksgiving can be stressful as many of the posts here indicate, seems like I didn't miss much - just a lot of good food.

1. I would've preferred not to, but...
the vittles were elsewhere. :9

How's your cat? Better (I hope)?

6. Oh I'm so sad about you kitty. I had to put mine on Prozac once
because he stopped eating and got real thing and looked like he was dying. The vet couldn't find anything wrong so we decided he was depressed. I had been "disciplining him by putting him in the garage because he kept bringing LIVE animals in the house. After the depression dx I also gave him a lot of attention so maybe that changed him.

I hope yours can be healed. If it is just the sad thing you can check out meds for them. People might think it is weird but I think it works.

First time in twenty years. I used to prepare the meal. I cooked nothing today.

4. I do hope your kitty is okay -
sick pets are a priority. I spent all day and evening by myself. My husband had to work a double shift - he's a union employee - works for a power plant. They just flat out cancelled his vacation and he's working at least 3 doubles in a row. Not due to an emergency - just because. Corporate America.....

5. I did.
Just woke up a few hours ago, actually, and had some leftovers from Del Taco.

7. Me.
Drove my daughter (lost her license 2 years ago) to work at 11am. Drove my son(loaned his truck to my daughter's bf, who got whipped out in a head on collision) to work at 3pm. Then spent the day watching the Everyone Loves Raymond marathon waiting to pick these guys back up. I spent 5 (thank you Lord) hours home alone.

8. just me and three dogs
although I did make some phone calls and did a little IMing. I do not like the roast beast anyway, and apparently can no longer eat mashed potatoes. So I did not miss the food.

9. I did
I'm living far away from my family..was offered an invitation by a friend, but I would have felt awkward so I just spend the day hanging out. It's one of the first true days off I've had in awhile. So I bought myself a pumpkin pie, had a slice whenever I felt like it. :P Watched some TV, got some laundry done, went out to a movie alone. Got to sleep early and now I'm ready to brave Black Friday at work..

Hope your cat feels better.

10. I wish I had
my boyfriend came over with a chip on his shoulder and acted like an obnoxius ass. I much prefer my own company rather than wasting an evening with someone who is acting like an asshole! x(

I hope your cat is on the mend.
