Poll question: Worst Heisman Trophy pick?
In 1992 Gino Torretta was not even the best player on his team, but that didnt stop those who vote, from giving him the Heisman over Marshall Faulk, who set many NCAA rushing and scoring records.

1. Definitely Toretta

The other guys on that list had seasons worthy of the Heisman, even though they weren't as successful at the next level. The only thing Gino Toretta had going for him was being the QB of the Hurricanes when they got to play for a national title.

On Edit:Andre Ware deserves consideration, too. he was the ultimate "system guy".

2. Faulk was unstoppable that year.
Averages 200+ yds rushing a game.
But he played for an unpopular, unranked team that year.

3. Andre Ware
Played in a gimmick offense that terrorized defenses of the pathetic teams. He would throw a 3 yard dumpoff and get credit for an 80 yard TD pass. Downfield he was innacurate as hell and his pocket awareness was awful. I couldn't believe he was seriously being considered for the Heisman, let alone win the damn thing.

Rashaan Salaam was the other guy who didn't deserve mention let alone the vote. He basically caught pitchouts on the end of the option and ran straight ahead down the sideline. When he was asked to make moves and be elusive you could see he was didn't have it, not a special RB at all.
