Getting laid is a lot easier than living with a wife, and easier to do without a wife. Not saying anything against sex within the marriage, but I've never known any guy who got married because it would get him laid regularly. Besides, it doesn't get men laid regularly.

is it amount or time??

when I was dating I had sex almost every time we got together (no pun intended). Once you get married you base it on the calendar..

lets see..

early in the marrage it's 3 to 5 times a week and once or twice during her period

middle marrage it slips to once a week (usually on weekends) and "no way" during her period.

during meta"pause" its completely hit or miss (her: but we just "had" sex, him: that was a month ago!)

But that perception comes from experience. If you were someone who entered marriage with a limited sexual history, you would naturally expect to have earth-shaking sex all the time. Because we've all been told that sex gets better with love. So if you played by the rules and found out that it was all wrong you can see why there's people with a high degree of cynicism about relationships out there.

a marraige license is somehow protection against STDs. Especially considering the rate of divorce in America, and the numbers of divorce cases which site adultery as a cause of the split. You'd think just a discussion among their married friends would help most people figure out that marriage really does not always equal sex that is "safer" than what non-married people have, in the sense that a married person can't count on their partner not to cheat, expose him/herself to disease, and infect his/her spouse. That's just a stupid, STUPID belief that dumb people have.

I know there are maids, but I doubt any maid would put up with the dishes, dirty clothes, all the books and papers, and the trash that is seldom taken out. If a maid were willing to put up with it, I'd wager that the price of those services would be quite high.
