5. Third one from the top....only kind in this house....
Damn blade is dull and I made a mess of it....

 :loveya:

BTW, my niece (the psychiatric nurse practitioner) recently spent two weeks in Baton Rouge working at the Find Family Call Center counseling people who called in looking for loved ones. She had one hell of an experience and I saw her photo album last night. I cried. It was a remarkable experience for her and she helped many people.

8. LOL, I thought it might be that type of saw.
And I can only imagine the mess that was made.

Tell your niece that we do so appreciate the efforts of the volunteers. There are hundreds of thousands of wounded souls wandering around in Louisiana and Mississippi and Alabama, Katrina did major damage to more than just our landscape. I am sure you are very proud of your niece and you have every right to be.

 :loveya:

9. I am in awe of what she did....we all are.
The volunteers coming in after her did nothing but complain. Crap like I am expected to work 13 days with no days off? We are expected to sleep on these cots? We will have to eat crap food? My niece was annoyed.

She never made it into New Orleans, but someone she knew who was there did and took her camera one day. The photos are amazing, but not online.

I know that you have been living through hell, and admire your ability to survive. And I am happy that my niece was able to help people. I am jealous of her, but have my 93-year-old mother to take care of.

The niece was handing me her photo album, but I was busy doing something else at the time, so she put it down on the footstool. My mother immediately grabbed it to look. It is an amazing record.

I have a letter from her from Camp Phoenix and intend to keep it. Forever. She has participated in history.

 :loveya:

10. Again, please be sure to thank her for me.
As one DUer wisely pointed out to me in his very thoughtful pmail sent to encourage me:

This can be a rich moment. Learn from it ...IT WILL make you stronger .... It will end... It is the impatience that whittles at and can defeat us... frustration when allowed overwhelms one.

It will make you stronger.

You'll be lookin at this years from now goin' I remember the big one in 05.

See how lucky I am to have DU at my fingertips. So many here have helped me to find solace, have encouraged me and have given me a kick in the ass when I needed it. There are others not as lucky as I am and I am quite certain your niece helped some of them.
