newest E-Bay scammers (IOW, Poor SOB)

my hubby sold a vintage toy on ebay in October for a sizable amount of money. There was a newbie ebayer who was hot to trot, but got outbid in the last minute for the item.

Today he (hubby) received an ebay message from from the newbie to the effect he had responded to a "Second Chance" offer and sent a bunch of $$$$ via Western Union to England for the item. He had the name wrong (of course) and actually sent the $$$ to another name altogether.

We didn't do a 2nd chance and we live in AZ!

so watch for 2nd chance offers, it's just another way to scam novice or naive ebayers
