So I watched that stupid Star Wars movie
Attack of the Clones? War of the Clones? March of the Clones? Dance of the Clones? Ah well, who cares what it's called!

Ok, Obi Wan was pretty hot, but everything else sucked. Bad scripting, SFX that only made the whole mess worse, actors phoning it in.

(What really hurt was Christopher Lee - he deserved better than that!)

1. The first two films of the prequels sucked royally....
...in the third one, while not perfect, Lucas makes up for screwing the pooch on the first two.

The thing that bugged me most was the ham-handed parallels between Anakin and Luke. Irritated me to no end.

3. So it gets better?
Because the first one left me cold. And this one was even worse. I was gonna just give up. Of course part of the problem is trying to build tension by putting Obi Wan, Annikin or Yoda in perlious situations when we already know how things are going to turn out for them. We've known for almost 30 years that they survive and go on. So no dramatic tension.

I'll give Episode 3 a try, then.

9. I liked all the clothes that the pricess had with her...
No matter where in the Universe she landed, a new set of clothes was at her beck and call...

I figured they must have been dehydrated or somethin'... Just spit on a little piece of clothe and Whooose.... A whole new pile of clothes...

12. Yeah me too.
I started wondering just how big a suitcase this girl had. Although the blue thing that totally covered her up except for her midriff was pretty hot.

And who was doing her hair? Every scene an insanely complicated hairdo. For god's sake! When I get up in the morning, I shampoo, put a little bit of gel in and hope it works. But her! On the run and she can still get her hair done!

2. I hear ya, Khash...
The acting, especially. Ugh. For a funny take on it that I enjoyed: http://www.tomatonation.com/clones.shtml

5. Although I defend the prequels, I admit to skipping "Clones"
Episode II, however thematically intriguing, is bereft of heart and soul. Honestly, it's as arduous to sit through as the original trilogy's "Return of the Jedi."

Do check out "Revenge of the Sith," though: it's a nifty pop rendition of FAUST.

7. I have a confession to make, LeftyMom
Christopher Lee made me gay. I think it was all those Dracula films. And I saw Wicker Man about several dozens times as an adolescent.

13. Christopher Lee is still a damn fine looking man!

Okay, I admit to enjoying older men.

Add to that he's smart, speaks several languages, and was in British Intelligence so he would have some stories to tell. Can you imagine the conversations?

I better go have a shower.

17. The b/w pic looks like 1967 as I've seen him in TV and film of the time...
So he's about 80 today...

I just imdb'ed him and he was born 27 May 1922. Damn, he's old!

16. Anakin is hotter!!! (but... but...
for all his yummy looks, he can't act to save his own life.)

I saw Attack of the Infantile in the theatre and even I could see how poor the computer effects were... then Lucas feels he has to go overboard by cramming every millimetre with something moving or something absurd. (at least technology restrained his desire for excessive, absurd business for the original trilogy and as a result made it PALATABLE.)

Just wait until you see Revenge of the Sick or whatever. I saw a dogfight scene, and later a levitating hoverdisc surfboard fight between two people with the worst dialogue (and even worse acting) ever imagined.

Even Carrie Fisher improved herself between Episodes IV and V!!! How come Hayden can't? (and, as usual, he manages to lower Natalie Portman's presence at the same time. She's a good actress, but around him she seems to ditch the quality. (maybe she's in fear of upstaging him, which wouldn't be difficult to do...)

But, yeah, who needs dialogue when in every scene Hayden is in, all one is thinking of "Man, I wish I could have him in bed... W00t!!!!!"

Of course, I noticed on imdb he's lined up for FOUR movies due out in 2006. If he can't handle his previously sporadic workload, how's he going to handle four entire movies?!

19. I don't know if Christian is that horrible an actor...
...didn't he get decent reviews for Shattered Glass and My Life As A House?

I haven't seen either yet, but from what I understand, if he's given decent material (which, you have to admit, he wasn't in AotC or RotS) he can pull it off.
