OK, so I'm probably being egotistical, but hear me out.
I post last night about the Pentagon expanding its surveillance powers, and get 12 replies. Some new DUer posts about it early this morning, the mods apparently are asleep at the wheel and don't recognize it as a dupe (they're quick to point out my dupes, if I happen to post, by mistake, one), and the new DUer gets his post on the front page.

I'm pissed.

You posted in GDP, the other thread was in LBN. The LBN post was within about 20 minutes of yours. No rule was broken, it was not a dupe as it was in completely different forums, and the mods did nothing in error.

The mods didn't need to lock anyone for a dupe, because it was in two different forums. Not their problem if the other thread got on the front page. Now, did you really need to open two threads on this?
