What ORDINARY fact about you do people think is amazing/unbelievable?
This comes up for me this time of year:
I have NEVER seen "It's a Wonderful Life".

I've never tried to NOT see it;
I've seen bits of it here and there,
and I know the whole thing from the THOUSANDS of
references to it in books, TV, and other movies.

Actually tried to watch it once; something came up right after
the little girl whispered into young George's deaf ear....

The whole thing is just a string of (anti)coincidences,
but when I mention that I've never seen it, people react like
I've never seen a Christmas tree.

Anyone else have a similar gap in their cultural knowledge?
Who here has never seen Star Wars, or watched a SuperBowl?

1. I've never had a sip of coffee
My only vague knowledge of what it must taste like is a few samples of coffee candy. A hot murky liquid is comfortably locked at zero temptation or interest. Especially when I compare it to a tall glass of orange juice with plenty of crushed ice. Make that three.

3. Lived in the south for 20 years
Was born in Alabama. I've NEVER seen Gone With the Wind. No desire to.

I did love Carol Burnett's take on it! :rofl:

5. now that you mention it...
I've never seen "Gone With The Wind", either.
But I did once see a good 30 minutes of the colorized version;
more than I've ever seen of "It's a Wonderful Life" at one go.
