Wooooo-hooo! I just won NaNoWriMo!
For those participating in National Novel Writing Month, I DID IT! I finished my book, "Love and Other Catastrophes", ten minutes ago; I had 50,667 words, and I WON!

To say that I'm excited is an understatement! I have wanted to write a book my entire life, and I have now DONE IT!

I am so excited I hardly know what to do.

I haven't let anyone read the book; it needs some huge polishing. DH is not happy that he can't read it, but I wrote it for me. One of my friends gave me a great idea yesterday; I started book #2 on Saturday!

I didn't even get to start mine. Too much drama irl just drained my creativity. I like my idea though, and I'm going to go ahead and work on it anyway.

14. Actually, everyone that finishes a book is a "winner"
I should have explained this...:blush:

I'll be interested to see how many winners there are this year. I got a lovely certificate that will be framed and hung in our home office, a designation on my NaNoWriMo file that denotes me as a "winner," and I'm getting some stuff in the mail.

I'm still pretty excited...we live on the West Coast, my store is closed today, and I'm awake at 5:45 AM!
