What is the ugliest word in English besides racial slurs and swear words?
I think "ombudsman" is way up there, but there's probably a lot more.

29. There is a joke here somewhere
Edited on Mon Nov-28-05 10:56 AM by Lochloosa
"Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, two Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH, NO!" the President exclaims with great emotion. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at his display of emotion and nervously watch as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

Edited on Mon Nov-28-05 10:19 AM by Orrex
I'm embarrassed and disgusted that this word is part of the language, because it's never used except as a term of self-righteous racist condemnation.

"Prothonotary" is pretty awful, too, but for purely anti-euphonic reasons.
