Testicles?

In the past two weeks or so, I've seen close to a dozen different pickup trucks on the road with what look like stylized testicles dangling from the trailer hitch.

I haven't seen one parked to take a close look, but they appear to be metal and encased in vinyl. They hang about six inches, and if they're not testicles, I don't know what they are supposed to be.

I'm not squeamish or homophobic--heck, if the guy wants to drive around with no pants on, that's fine with me--but if these are meant to be testicles, then I'm not sure of what message they're intended to send.

Possiblities:

"I have no balls without my truck."
"This big truck symbolizes my tiny penis."
"I am presenting."
"Oh--so that's where I left them."
"This truck makes wide right turns and coughs."

Any other guesses?
