So, I went in and ran all that cable and fixed the fax and internet lines that the contractors had sliced. The renter was not there at the time, but I sent out a test fax which was received, and directly connected a computer to the line. Got a good IP address, no problems bringing up web pages, etc. Problem finally solved.
I get a call from the guy saying the network connection isn't working. Ok. Problem not so solved. I ask him what sort of problems he's having with it, and he says his network printer isn't connecting. Huh. I tell him that I tested the connection, and that it was fine. I ask him to connect a computer to the line, and he freaks out. I try to explain, very nicely, that we need to figure out if the problem is the line or the device. (I have a pretty damn good idea it's the device, because I ran the cable and tested the connections myself). He refuses, insisting it is the line, and hurls abuse at me. So, looks like I have to go back down there to deal with that.
But, that's not all. THEN I get a call from the guys renting the other half of the space, saying that the software developer has put locks on the bathroom doors, so that they get in to them. The request that we come down as "I don't wanna get arrested for break & enter" :eyes: Right. So, race down there to see wtf is going on, and there are no locks on the doors. The software guy just took the handles off (which is stupid and childish). I put a couple of keys together, fit them in the hole and open the doors.
Go down to the main part of the building & find out about a letter, which lists a bunch of things that we have to do for software guy, or he'll change the locks & some other stuff by wed. (He can't do that. If he tries, I'll file a police report. I'm sick of this childish bullshit). It seems he feels that the bathrooms are HIS because he put a sink in one of them (which was not necessary, he chose to do so) and he doesn't like how messy the Greek Seniors Ass. is. So, he behaves like a 5 year old :eyes: He expects things that are in no way part of his lease, but refuses to work with us on any of it (see my phone call with him above)
I feel like I missed my calling as a kindergarten teacher
