I checked my e-mail for the first time in days, and I had four notifications from my ISP that a virus had been sent to me, but they caught it and deleted it.
Warning number one tells me that I was sent a virus from Admin@fbi.gov, subject line "Your IP was logged".
Warning number two says that jwth214@yahoo.com sent me a virus under the heading "hi, ive a new mail address".
Warning number three says that webmaster@execpc.com sent me a virus with "Mail_delivery_failed" as a subject.
Finally, the last (I hope) warning says that office@cia.gov sent me a virus under the subject "Your IP was logged".
Funny thing, it was the same virus attached to all of them, W32/Sober.Z@mm, and they all four showed up in two days - 11/21-11/23,, nothing since then.
I'm glad my ISP snagged it, but I'd like to know what the deal is. This is the main e-mail account, which I'm careful with. My husband ordered some stuff a while back, and I'd seen some spam hitting, which I just deleted, so I figured it was from that. However, after seeing the ones about CIA and FBI, I'm thinking that someone is messing with me. I used that address when I signed up here orginally, because at the time, no yahoo addresses were allowed here. I have since switched all of my political e-mails to another e-mail address.
Anybdy else getting these?
