10. Michael Bolton used to do metal
check out "everybody's crazy" I love that song.

And Van Halen is the sine qua non of rock, if not metal.
Even though they tanked when they lost Dave, and many of their hits were Kinks remakes, and I thought they kinda sucked live, they are something I can agree with most Led Zeppelin fans.

Man, I LOVED that movie! But my favorite song was "Veteran of a thousand psychic wars" (is that the correct title? I forgot...)

And what was that other "Heavy Metal" Titled song from the move that went like:

8. Do you remember the magazine Heavy Metal?
I had every issue starting with number 1 and continuing for 5 years.
Aeon Flux began in that mag.
I lost them all when the basement of my house got flooded.
I wonder how much they would be worth now?
In the same flood I lost the Playboy with John Lennon's last interveiw before he was murdered.

I loved the mag too! They may still publish it. Bummer about the flood. I have no idea how much those original back issues would be worth. :shrug:

12. Had a friend who played hookey from school to see it 17 times
He watched every showing at the theater for four days straight. His mom actually wrote him an excuse: the "flu", I believe.

Yes, it is a classic movie. I still listen to the soundtrack today. It presented the last of heavy metal music just before the term was co-opted by bubblegum hair bands.
