Is Larry David's "Curb" Running Out Of Steam?
My favorite TV comedy, but this year's shows have been much less laugh filled than previous years. Last year's was the absolute best.

Has anyone else been disappointed this year, or am I missing something?

1. Last night's episode was great.
I'm betting that all the loose ends will be tied up in next week's season finale. But it was great the way that all the episodes this season tie into each other.

So far the best episodes - "The Christ Nail", "Kamikaze Bingo", "The Korean Bookie", and "Lewis Needs A Kidney", "The Seder", and "The Ski Lift".

So far the worst episodes - "The Larry David Sandwich", "The Smoking Jacket"

2. I liked last night as well, but it's been hit-n-miss this season.
I didn't find that to be the case in previous seasons. And while last year's use of The Producers as a unifying thread worked beautifully, this year's "didn't drown/conversion" opening has been pretty much abandoned...unless there's some big wrap up at the end (maybe he really drowned?).

3. Last year was rare because of the story that went on all season
There have been little 2-3 episode stories in CYE but last year had one all season long with David taking over Nathan Lane's part in "The Producers".

I keep forgetting the shows back on but I've been catching episodes here and there. Seems like this year they've been getting back to the formula used in seasons 1&2.

Most HBO shows run 4-6 years so I see maybe one more year at least especially since they didn't renew the Lisa Kudrow travesty. I haven't watched any of the Extras but Entourage is gaining speed with the popularity of Jeremy Pivin's "Ari" role.

4. I actually like Kudrow's show
If I didn't know better ;-) I would say that it was a joke on "My life on the D list"

Extras is funny because it is made for the BBC so there are jokes and whole shows that are really made for the Brit crowd-the one about the two actual actors fighter in particular. I had no idea who they were but I could still get the jokes in a way.
