2. Lexus drivers arent nearly as bad as Benz drivers...
If I had a dollar for every time I've been cut off by a black Mercedes driving on the freeways here (especially on I-105 and I-110)... :grr: :nuke:

3. I hear you

5. Oh man, the 22 is the absolute WORST...
405 sucks and so does the 5, but neither of those can compare to the 22. I almost missed a flight out of Long Beach because the 22 was so backed up.

8. when I have driven in CA I find that the motorcyclists scare the shit
out of me...

I was raised to give the people on motorcycles enough room...and to stay off their tails....but when I was drving on the freeways in CA...the crazy bastards would ride their bikes between cars....it was so dangerous and made me a nervous wreck....

9. I guess that practice is perfectly legal
If they did that here, they might end up with a face full of door!

10. I do want to clarify that they weren't even in their own lane..
imagine two cars driving side by side in their own lanes...and a motorcycle rider sees enough room to squeeze through....and he does!!! that is what scared me...

11. Oh, I know
It is perfectly legal for motorcycles to do that...They are also allowed in the HOV lanes.

14. LOL! I, too was nervous about taking on the LA Freeways
But having driven in Boston, it was a tea party!

I was in town for a music convention and attended a couple of late-night parties. Driving back to my hotel as late as 2 in the morning, there were so many cars on the freeway, you'd thing it was 2 in the afternoon!

:headbang:

15. Mental note to self, don't get a Lexus.
Who am I kidding? I couldn't afford one of those. I'm leaning toward a mid sized Nissan or a cheap car like the Hyundai Sonata will be by the time I can get another used car.

17. LMAO
I think one needs to have a personality transplant in order to drive those uber expensive luxury cars anyway.

18. I'm happy as long as my little old Nissan with a cassette
player but no CD player keeps going. I always wanted a cassette player so I could listen to my mix tapes. I'm satisfied with that.

16. I learned to drive in L.A.!
Seattle is worse. In L.A. the worst drivers were culled by the natural laws of selection years ago!

If you conquered the freeways in LA know you can drive anywhere with confidence.

Welcome back!

19. Eh. I've driven in Egypt, Italy, and California, and I personally think
it takes more fortitude to drive in and around Seattle, Washington. Why?

Because in places like Egypt, Italy, the Autobahn and California, people expect you to be able to drive and navigate their sudden traffic decisions like a mind reader, - but they ~can~ drive or they wouldn't live long.

In Seattle, you invariably find yourself trapped behind some little aging Norwegian man in a 1966 Buick driving 10 miles under the speed limit and if you dare honk or look like you might try to pass him he'll shake his fist at you, call you a 'Speedster Hooligan' and let loose a stream of Scandanavian invective.

What it does to one's blood pressure is inhuman.

20. You seem, however, to have caught the SoCal disease
of using a definite article in referring to freeways. :grr:

People who try that Up Here get smacked down.

I'm not sure I want to welcome you back now.

KITCHY'S BACK! KITCHY'S BACK! :bounce: :bounce: :loveya: :bounce: :bounce:

22. I am married to a SoCal man
therefore the definite article with regard to freeways was already installed.

I am glad to be home. Where we do not use definite articles when referring to stupid roads.
