13. Is this news?
Ketchup is intended for French fries and as an ingredient in shrimp cocktail and some BBQ sauces. Any other use is off label, if you ask me.

35. OMG, you like it like I do.
I call it sopping not mopping though. You know. Like sopping the gravy with a biscuit. Yummy. I don't use mustard or relish. I'm from the south. Good eating, however weird our tastes may seem, is one thing I actually like better about the south. Don't get me wrong, a lot of northern dishes are fantastic as well. I'm just a food fan from the word go, but I like my hot dogs and my hamburgers with some chili on them too, oozing out the sides like you mentioned in your post.

25. Let me see if I can be polite here,
You're wrong.

Ketchup is about the finest condiment ever created (Worcestershire sauce is a marinade so that's a separate category).

I will concede that it is best when on the side and thus easier to precisely control how much goes on any individual bite. The same holds true for mustard.

Mayo (or any of its bastard offspring) in proximity to any beef product is also misguided.

50. When I worked at a legendary local burger joint in Texas....
(I was relatively new), one day a charter bus from someplace in Ohio pulled into the parking lot. One of the veteran employees said to me, "Go get the gallon tub of ketchup from the walk-in."

Five minutes later I found out why.

Bacon cheeseburger, Crisp Lettuce, NO tomato, Rings of fresh Red Onion, TYVM, spread mayo VERY lightly on Toasted bun surfaces. Top with ketchup and dill slices.

Out of this world. End of story.

Keep the ketchup OFF my fries, though. Salt only, please.
