So, your bedroom
Whats on the walls?

I have:
one wall devoted to maps of places I've traveled to.
a Decepticons poster
mounted classic x-men comics
a White Dwarf & a D&D poster
Some prints from movies (Eraserhead, Bride of Frankenstein, The Mummy, Forbidden Planet & Attack Of The Crab Monsters)

And some art stuff

Your turn

14. When I was really little I had a poster on my wall
that said "Fishes of the World" and then had a picture of each type of fish along with the common and scientific names and some facts. I think my mom got it free somewhere.

I would lay there in bed and stare at that poster and think, "Fishes? Fish? Fishes? Fish?"

I was a weird kid. :)

21. Mostly flyer's from local shows in the late 90's..
Most of them I helped make for local bands.. ( I have a few for Fifteen, Jawbreaker, I Spy, J Church, Piglet...ect....)

I have the wall of bad credit. Letters from collection agencies. (I have a few friends that have made major contributions to the project)

And I lighted poster box I stole from the movie theater I worked at. I put all the scraps of broken, burned, and stretched film from my years in the booth.

28. Ain't got much wall space
Edited on Tue Nov-29-05 08:33 PM by Oeditpus Rex
since the north wall is entirely closets and cabinets, the west wall is almost all windows and the east wall is largely obscured by the armoire that's home to the teevee, VCR, DVD player 'n' stuff.

That leaves the south wall, which is dominated by a large poster of a painting of James Dean on an old Triumph motorcycle with the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline in the background.

Edit to add: All the cool stuff's here in my office. :bounce:

Not a lot. Two paintings by my sweetie. A picture of some of his ancestors (great greats or something), a picture of a grandmother, picture from a white water rafting trip, picture of a sculpture outside his former art school and a picture of his cousin as a child. Last but not least: a picture of the round man who shall not be named. Everything but the paintings were there when I moved in. I had him hang the paintings when I got here.

Pretty conventional, huh? My kids have a 14ft x 8ft mural called Jungle Dream that I put up for them. Beautiful!

The walls are Martha Stewart paint in Sunflower ;-). The ceiling was done by the following company: http://www.stellarvision.com. We have the midsummer night sky on our ceiling, complete with constellations and shooting stars. It really is soothing.

We'll be adding a print of Van Gogh's "Starry Night" when the quilt I'm making for our bed is finally finished; it's a Jacob's Ladder with fabrics that denote the moon and stars...:woohoo:

81. Hehe
I got 'em cheap as dirt in Chinatown. I used to go poster raiding there quite often, until I had to stop myself because I literally ran out of wall.

I saw an absolutely gorgeous Advent Children scroll in one of the stores there recently, from the official wallpaper with Cloud and Sephiroth. Something HAS to come down off my walls dammit that's my OTP. :D I think I'm going to start rotating them, I haven't changed my posters in quite a while.

82. Lucky!
I have no local Chinatown to get posters from, so I'm stuck waiting for cons.

And if your walls are full, have you tried the ceiling yet? :P

While I'd prefer Vincent being near my bed ( ), that sounds good.

And on a related note, I've finally figured out how to make Vincent's cape/cloak :woohoo: Perhaps if I have some fabric left over I'll try my hand at making a Vincent plushie XD

63. Small golden framed mirrors
from Bombay and a mahogany-framed print of "The Crystal Ball" by Waterhouse. (Did everyone know that the original painting contained a "skull" sitting on the table along side the ball. It offended someone at some point, and the skull was disguised behind the black window drapery -- painted over. A silk plant in a green and white yarn macrame hanging holder dresses the window and a candle in a glass hurricane graces the windowseat.

76. 4 walls:
Edited on Wed Nov-30-05 12:53 AM by gwbsamoron
One wall is actually 75% window with the the rest being taken up by my wife's dresser mirror, and 3 of her hats. (Mounting the hats on the wall was my idea. It was a space near the bed, so we needed something light, as we are in California, and should not have anything heavy mounted near the bed in case of earthquake).

Wall #2 is the head of our bed. It is about 45% windows, and 3 light dolls.

Wall #3 is two doors and a giant sliding mirror-door of the closet

Wall #4 is about 20% window, 20% door, and 3 hanging framed items - two pictures and a country-craft thing.

That's Miles Davis, BB King and Charlie Parker (left to right). The smaller prints are M.C. Escher prints.

The big print on the left is a copy of Le Juene Martyre by Paul de la Roche.
