3. Wham...*snort*
My best friend LOVED them when we were 13 year olds. She had Wham Rules all over her Trapper Keeper. I was a little wilder. I prefered Motley Crue at 13.

5. Mine pretty much disintegrated through the school year...
I would overstuff and abuse it terribly.

7. I had a VINTAGE TRAPPER KEEPER.
It was from like 1980 or 1981, when they just made them in like, blue, red, or green. None of the fancy designs yet. And they didn't have that strong binding yet with the little rectange pattern in it. But what really makes it stand out from the later ones is that it had a snap instead of velcro!

They only last about a year though.

Who remembers that binder that came out in like 1987 or 1988 that was made out of hard plastic, and would cover your papers from the sides too? It had a real cool contemporary look for the time, was dark gray with a few rounded-off lines on it - I had one of those too! As you can tell I had to be on the cutting edge with binders. I keep thinking Worlds of Wonder, the same company that made Laser Tag and Teddy Ruxpin came up with this thing. I remember they also came out with an answering machine that you could put in your locker and have people leave messages with remote control outside of the locker.

9. Ha.
I found out on alt.culture.us.1980s that you'd actually activate the answering machine with a whistle that you'd give your friends to leave messages.

8. I never had one
My parents didn't believe in buying me expensive school supplies since I never did much schoolwork anyway.
