2. How realistic do you think this show is?
I mean, I like it and he's a riot, but how long would a doctor who really acted like that last? My wife and I were wondering about this.

3. What I don't get
is that in at least one of the episodes I saw, the doctors actually went to the patient's HOUSE to search around to see what might be the cause of the illness. They were going through the refrigerator and the closets and everything. I was sitting there, thinking, "What doctor would ever do this????"

4. They've done that a number of times.
On the accuracy scale, I'd say House falls pretty short - I can't imagine a hospital keeping doctors on staff who do the stuff that House and crew do, unless they are somehow bringing in way more money than they're spending on lawsuits - and I don't see how that is happening.

The patients they get seem to be coming to the hospital fairly at random - I could understand the show's premise more if hospitals around the country were sending them the bizarre cases, and their team was well reknown as the "go to" team for the weird stuff.

But it doesn't seem that they are - their patients are all random ER walk-ins (or ambulance).

But, I don't mind - it's a hella good show, reality be damned!

5. But who would want to watch a show that is based entirely in reality?
I could just sit back and watch myself in that case... for FREE! :P
