1. It is quite astonishing isn't it?

They certainly aren't alone. Sum 41 comes to mind in that genre as well.

2. Well, AeroSmith
is still making the same album they've made since 1992, and no one has managed to stop them.

I'd also like to nominate Nickelback for making the same song 13 times on the same album.

5. The only band who can rehash the same song 117 times successfully...
is AC/DC.

8. And they managed to keep the same wretched sound through 2 singers....
How the hell did they manage to find ANOTHER one? And more curiously.....why the hell would they try?

13. Not true at all.....
I'll agree that every Brian Johnson album is virtually identical, but the 6 albums that Ac/Dc made with Bon Scott were completely individual works, and masterpieces, every one.

If you can put on High Voltage and then immediately follow it with Highway to Hell and tell me it's the same album, you're either tone deaf or a liar.

27. I said same "sound"
As in the sound of the singer. It's eerily similar. As for the detailed musical intricacies of each and every AC/DC record.......I wouldn't know. I've tried to limit my AC/DC exposure to what I was forced to listen to in High School locker rooms and over the PA system at professional sporting events.

an Oasis thread.

Although they suck quite badly, too.

12. Or Limp Bizkit
I mean come on, a band that names itself after slang for male impotence has got to be good! :sarcasm:

11. I heard Blink at a concert I was working at once
And, although they are the epitome of emo-teen-angst crap, I had to give them credit for doing an Anthrax medley. Sadly, I was the only one there old enough to recognize any of the songs, but THEY seemed to be having fun with it.

And everyone will lose every shred of respect for me when I say that I like the song "What's My Age Again".

16. Shreds of respect are over-rated
You like what you like.

Still, I'm glad I've never heard another song by the "small theens" guy.

Good Charlotte comes to mind.

but you don't strike me as a liar.

I'm glad I don't know Good Charlotte.

Their singer is dating Hillary Duff, for Christ's sake.

Shit, they even LOOK like tools.

19. Clearly, you've never heard Good Charlotte.
Or Nickelback.

Or, as someone mentioned, the Kings of Suck, who also go by the name Creed.

21. While those are all good candidates...
Aerosmith and NickelBack still clearly win the fight.

Aerosmith for being such an intially good band and then settling into the same rut for 15 years, and Nickelback for managing to make their first big break with an album of EXACTLY THE SAME SONG.

It makes me wish rock bands required at least one year of music education before they are allowed to make an album.

Good Charlotte would win, but they haven't been around long enough to fully be a success, and I doubt they will.
