I bought a Seriously Bad Elf today...

Having tried it, and having been a kid a few epochs ago, I can't imagine any kid trying it, and even if they did have a sip, they'd probably puke shortly after, as their tender tongues are not well-suited to such bitter libation. Strawberry Hill, it ain't.

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Folks in Connecticut will be able to take a Seriously Bad Elf home for the holidays. State officials have OK'd sales of the British beer import.
Approval was delayed because of state regulations that bar alcohol advertising with images that might appeal to kids. The label for Seriously Bad Elf shows a malevolent elf with a slingshot firing Christmas ornaments at Santa's sleigh.

being a seasoned veteran of "beer" drinking, i have had my fair share of worthless beers... Catchy name...:)

I enjoyed it, myself. It was hoppy, but more complex than most hop ales. Nice full body with a slightly floral aroma.

But I'd be willing to bet only a tiny percentage of underage kids would look twice at the stuff after tasting. They want something sweeter.

We saw it at the liquor store in a package with Santa's Great Butt Ale, Rudolf's Revenge, and some other cutsey Christmas-themed beers. We're both big fans of microbreweries and interesting beers--think we'd like it?

The folks who import those brews are all about interesting beer. Yeah, the names are great; but I know for a fact that they wouldn't bother bringing it over here if it wasn't top-notch stuff.

I also bought a Santas Butt and a Lump of Coal; but I'll save them for another time. Cheers! :beer:
