UPDATE: Nov. 10 surgery went well and got the biopsy results!
The nurses were very kind, the newer drugs were great and the doctor says the biopsy results received on Nov. 23 underscored that there's nothing precancerous or cancerous.

I'm a happy lady tonight and thanks to all who helped me through the night-before-surgery-heeby jeebies... You know who you are, but I hope you're still awake.

5. SwampRat, you're the absolute tops in Photoshopping --
My husband bought a new Canon digital camera and all he does all day is read the instructions and work with his "memory stick" == well, that beats what he could be doing with his other stick, if you get my drift.

Hey, maybe you can Photoshop me to look more like this (me as a teenager -- August 1956!)

6. Thanks, Rev. I'm still the same, crazy, elderly (?) lady I always was...
less four uterine polyps. (But who's lookin'? I can't even show off my scars!)

So what kind of cheese IS your head? I had some onion soup with a nice slice of SWISS tonight!

11. Why, Wisconsin Cheddar, of course.
But for the menfolk, I usually tell them I can be whatever cheese they want me to be. ;)

BTW: I love onion soup!
:hi:

(Oh, and if anyone is looking that closely, they'd better have your permission first.)

14. You must be pretty SHARP if you're cheddar!
However, we get our cheese from the contented cows of Tillamook, Oregon, at the Tillamook Cheese Factory. (Watch those curds and whey go by and tastes are FREE...!)

http://www.tillamookcheese.com/

I'm sure this little place is no competition for Wisconsin, but they are closer!

Yeah, those scars. I'll invite anyone in for a HYSTEROSCOPE party. It should be hysterical, right?

(WARNING: GRAPHIC STUFF... by the way, mine were NOWHERE this big, OK?)

16. geez, I wish mine would have been that easy.
I've twice had surgery to remove fibroids (endometreosis). The first was in the ER - and it was too big to do with a laproscope. Second time, they insisted on regular surgery.

I know well the pain and discomfort of that surgery. I'm glad yours went so well.

8. Hi, SeattleGirl. I love your wreath -- very pretty.
I was born Jewish, later adopted Zen Buddhism, then produced two children, one an Conservative Jew and one a Mormon.

I have no idea what to put on MY door! A wreath would be good, but it would offend the Jewish kids.

I think I'm a closet Christian, because I seem to know the words to so many Christian songs and I regularly sing them, all year long. I went to a high school with 1900 Christians and about 7 Jews...

Here's one, just off the top of my Jewish (?) head:

From: http://members.tripod.com/~Synergy_2/lyrics/ruggedc1.html

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I'll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

15. I love that hymn!
I actually have a number of friends in "mixed" families, primarily Christian/Jewish. They celebrate both holidays, integrate them both into their lives.

Not everyone can do that, I think. But the ones that do, seem to take it in stride, and celebrate the faiths and customs of each religion. Kind of cool, actually.

And I'm glad you like my wreath....

10. Hi leftstreet!
Appreciate your checking in, now that it's tomorrow, even here in Oregon.

In just nine hours, I have to jump into a pool with THIS kid. You outta see him swim! He will be five years old on Thursday, December 1st, and Grandma and Grandpa are making his favorite dinner -- CORNDOGS!

dreamt I was in a threesome last night with an unknown man and woman.

Wonder whether it was the fresh pineapple I ate before bedtime?

25. Bunches of belated bounces, newyawker99 --
How is my old haunting ground, namely NYC? We'll visit next June 2006 for a week -- hooray! We've got the flights and reservations.

I was watching some documentary last week -- I like to watch "Animal Cops" NY Humane Society rescue squad sometimes, so maybe it was that. Then that shining photo of the World Trade Center Towers comes up and "bingo!" I just get so sad...

Are they making any progress on that site? I hope so.

26. You folks rock! We're expecting snow tomorrow in Portland, OR,
where it rarely snows, and when it does, everything just stops.

I'm getting out my mittens and snowcap.

It's my grandson's fifth birthday -- we have the cake and balloons. Hope the family can get over here for the party!

Have a great week and a fantastic holiday! If the snow fizzles here, we fly to Salt Lake City to see our family there for New Years and we should get some white stuff there!
