Anybody heard anything from KyndCulture?
I haven't heard anything since Monday - PMed her but no reply. Mildly worried.

1. No, Do you know what city or town?
Does the local paper publish a police blotter? I kept advising her to get the hell out of Dodge. She seemed resistant, hopefully she got her vehicle and boogied.

I don't know about her neck of the woods, In mine, the DA will take the case and run. If the physical evidence is strong she may not even need to appear for a conviction.

3. Without tortillas
There would be no burritos, Without the corn ones there would be no Fritos.

A reference to a song by Eduardo “Lalo” Guerrero.

http://www.pww.org/article/articleprint/6705/

Though not a professional philosopher or politician his obra (work) reflected upon the realities of mano de obra barata (cheap labor), or discrimination, exploitation and the collective community culture and struggle to overcome. He played catchy tunes, but his lyrics are etched in the minds of generations of Chicanos.

My spanish is not as good as Mis abuelas nacidas mexicanas eran, Perhaps I shouldn't be so lazy by using Babelfish. :smoke:

8. Hi everyone.
Wow my own DU thread. Thanks for the wonderful thoughts prayers and warm wishes. I am doing better. My face is healing finally, my eyesight is much much better.

I've been very busy with the advocate group I found here. They've been a god send to me. I just returned from signing the lease on my little cottage I rented. It's officially mine. I found some people at a local church group to move my furniture tomorrow night. I am ALMOST out of here.

I found a legal advocate who lit a fire under the police and there is finally a warrant out for his arrest. Should happen tomorrow. They are still trying to figure out the exact charges last I heard this afternoon.

Thanks again everyone. I will be offline until next Tuesday when the phone company hooks up my new DSL.

 DU!
