Someone send me good thoughts/prayers/wishes.. etc my way please?
I have to visit a neuro-opthamologist next thursday. My right pupil is larger than my left and I just noticed this in October. Had a CT scan and they said it was negative for anything other than my brain ha ha.

Opthamologist says eyes look good.. one pupil is slightly bigger but reactive. He says to wait and see.

Sent my neurologist a message about it, says it doesnt sound like anything neurological especially with a neg. CT scan and to go see a neuro opthamologist.

They called to make my appt for the neuro opthamologist today and she said its not 'normal' for that to just suddenly happen. I've been having off and on headaches but I think its just my sinuses acting up.

So if anyone could PLEASE send me good thoughts/vibes/prayers ANYTHING to to me. I am TERRIFIED theres a tumor in my brain.

Anything is welcome!!

Did you ever get yours looked at? I looked in the mirror and saw that and almost hit the floor. I was like :wtf:

I noticed it in my 4 month old and my 2 yr old as well. I wonder if I always had it but never noticed or paid any attention to it.

28. I was at the doctor and he was scoping my eyes and said,"Did you
know one of your pupils is larger than the other? Ever have a closed head injury?". Now, I notice. I went through all the cat scans and saw a neurologist. The only thing they can think is that somehow they were connected to my migrains. :hi: Hi hope all ends up well with you. :hi:

if he told me that w/o me knowing.

I only had one injury - I got thrown off of my horse when I was 13 and I landed on my head - cracked my helmet in two.

You know I dont think I told him about that... hmm...

10. Let's see what happens.
your fears are certainly blowing your mind. If you continue to focus on that, you'll be able to handle less and less conflict and you'll wind up doing yourself real damage. What works for me is nurturing myself in as many ways as work. Foremost is honoring myself as if I were a holy being. After that, everything else falls into place; making sure I have enough fun, getting enough sleep, eating the best foods for me, exercising regularly, having good relations with significant others, honoring the gods and meditating. The Buddha said "Do not think lightly of good, thinking 'It will never come of me,' for even as a bucket is filled if only drop by drop, so we fill ourselves with our deeds and make our way in the world."

What we go through is all part of our development in this world and as preparation for the next as well no matter what shape that assumes. What works for you to get you from where you are to where you want to go? Do more of that.

Keep us posted. :hi:

51. All the best.
If you try to just push this out of your mind, you'll be more or less successful with it reappearing in various ways. This is normal with the things we try are split off from and want to repel. They keep coming back for us to go through what we need to do in order to accept them but this is further down the line from where you're at right now it seems. You'll be on the right track with positive focuses. I suggest vizualizing having things the way you want. You'll feel better and it may open things up for you to more comfortably see what's going on with you. Also, not clear on your subject line.

29. I've been getting conflicting info on the CT thing..
I get told that 1. if something indicative was even remotely in my head it would show on the ct scan 2. it doesnt pick up MS or small tumors so I dont know which way to look at it.

I think its a good sign that nothing shown up but it doesnt explain why my pupils are different sizes! I look goofy :)

You got it right the first time! flash the penndot and moon the eat n park!

38. Probably not a big deal, try not to worry.
Years ago during a routine eye exam the doc was taking FOREVER with his light thingie. Then he brought in a colleague to look at my eyes and they looked and looked. I was beginning to get very, very nervous. Turns out my optic nerve is different in each eye, forget now exactly what he said. Something like" oh, sorry, didn't mean to scare ya, it just kinda cool".I just heard it was not anything to worry about, interesting to them as it is rare. promptly forgot about it until I read your post. The whites of my eyes are slightly different from each other too, one is just a shade whiter than the other. I think I'm the only one who has noticed!
Anyway, of course you have my good vibes coming your way, it is no fun to be scared and have to wait to find out it is not a problem. I think that since your kids have the same anomaly it is more than likely a wierd family trait passed down.

39. I hate it when they do that..
I had my daughters lazy eye looked at and he had 3 or 4 people come in and look at a screaming 2 year olds eye.

I'm glad to know yours isnt a big deal.. it is frightening when they do that and not tell you whats going on. I too hope its a genetic thing and nothing more.

Waiting is the scary part :(

42. Purr, I love your name. Now, maybe it's silly, but for some reason
it kept coming to me while I was reading your post, that maybe concentrating/meditating on purring would help to calm you. Also, with the holidays coming, maybe thinking about what to do for the little ones can take your mind off things for a while. As hard as it is to do, I know it helps to give yourself some relief from the tension of worrying. Sometimes it helps me to remember that worrying won't change anything, except maybe to make the time pass even slower until you hear that everything is ok.

I'm sending you love, and light, and healing energy. Surround yourself with white healing light, and visualize hearing the "all is well" from your doctor, k? Please keep us updated. You'll be in my thoughts...

Try the purring thing! :)

My PCP doesnt think its anything but then he even mentioned the mri then backed down saying I dont really think you need it. Strange.

I have similar symptoms from a neurological condition. It doesn't have to mean brain tumour or anything that bad.

So take a deep breath, calm down and relax. Get a second opinion.

I cant help but think of my kids.. thats what hurts the most. I'm acting like I have a highly terminal condition, but I'm that afraid it is.

Other than my eyes and my headaches I'm fine. I hope thats a good sign along with my ct scan being neg.

46. I can't dispense medical advice
But your symptoms sound like certain types of migraine - which while debilitating aren't even remotely fatal (although you might wish they were). Or certain types of neurological problems.

The neg cat scan is good news, but please please please talk to your doctor and get an MRI - it shows up stuff a cat scan doesn't.. But if you had a tumor, the cat would have shown it. Still, other things could be going on.

Schedule it as soon as possible and also get a second opinion. If something is wrong, you need to know NOW. The earlier the better.

Khash.

My doc did mention something about migranes and I would be happy if that is all it is. Hopefully the neuro opth will know more than my regular opth.

Still scary since I have no idea what really is going on.
